The poetry of Baalbeck
Located about 85 kilometers northeast of Beirut and 35 kilometers northeast of Zahle, Baalbeck is the most impressive mustsee in Lebanon. Unesco recognized the ruins of Heliopolis, the ancient name of the city, as a roman archeological site. So many civilizations passed by : Phoenicians, Greeks, romans… Palmyra hotel, since it was built in 1874, has never closed not for one day.
